Terms & Conditions

Shopping Terms and Conditions
I want you to be happy with your painting. If you have any questions please contact me in advance of your purchase.

Ordering
You can order by contacting me by using the contact form on this website or by using the shopping cart. By ordering the goods you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. You may cancel your order by contacting us no later than 3 days after placing the order. You do not own the goods until we have received payment in full. If reasons beyond the control of the party (weather, illness) prevent either party from fulfilling their agreement, each will advise the other as soon as is reasonably practicable to make alternative arrangements. This does not affect your customer’s right to cancel. The prices quoted on the site include shipping costs for mainland UK only.

If you would like to discuss purchase of a painting to be sent outside mainland UK please get in touch using the contact form.

Overseas shipments (outside UK mainland) may be subject to import duties and taxes according to the laws of the destination country. Any additional charges are at the customer’s expense. We have no control over these charges and accept no responsibility for additional charges.

Shipping costs cover packing supplies, labour and transit fees.

Post and Packing
All works well be securely packed. Paintings on canvas will be wrapped in bubblewrap or equivalent (where possible I will use a more ecological equivalent), then securely packed in cardboard boxes. In addition framed paintings will be fitted with corner protectors. Works on paper are mounted in a mat with backing board, sealed in a cello bag sandwiched between two sturdy layers of cardboard and placed in a Jiffy bag, paper envelope or brown wrapping paper, depending on size. Whenever possible I will use recycled packaging to help save our planet’s resources.

Payment
is via Paypal in British pounds sterling. You do not have to have a PayPal account to do this, you can use the PayPal service with your ordinary credit or debit card. I do not store credit card or bank details in any form.

Shipping
will be by first class Royal Mail in the UK, DPD or Parcel Force, using recorded delivery and so you will need to sign for it on arrival. I cannot refund you if items go missing in transit. I am happy to ship outside the UK and will use a specialist shipping company to ensure your piece arrives safely. This may incur other charges such as import duties or taxes which will be added to the shipping cost. Please contact me if you are interested in purchasing from outside the UK mainland. Works on paper that are framed behind glass cannot be sent by post and therefore need to be collected from my studio. If you live locally (within 15 miles) it may be possible for me to deliver the work in person, by arrangement. Shipping costs cover labour, packing and transport fees.

Delivery
I will aim to dispatch your painting within 3 to 7 working days of receiving payment in my account. For larger pieces it may take longer but this will be by prior agreement between you, as the purchaser, and myself.

Returns policy and refunds
every effort has been made to photograph and represent work as accurately as possible with respect to size and colour. The image you see may be different due to variations in browsers, screen settings and devices and no responsibility can be taken for such inconsistencies. As this artwork is going to be part of your, or sometimes another person's, home, it is important to me that you are completely happy with your purchase. Therefore, if this is not the case and you contact me within 7 days of receipt of the work, you have the option to return the undamaged piece to me by the same tracked carrier, packed to the same standard. On receipt of the undamaged work I will refund the purchase price to you minus the cost of shipping and PayPal fees. All work is carefully packed and wrapped. If you receive a piece that is damaged please contact me within 7 days with a photograph. Risk of damage to the goods will pass to you when the goods are delivered to you. Payment will be refunded minus the shipping and PayPal fees. NB. Please note I am unable to offer a refund or accept returns from any country outside the UK.
